Sports Day on two of the hottest days of the year!

Sports Day

We are thrilled to share that our two primary sports days were a great success at Mosborough and Halfway Juniors.

They were a true celebration of physical activity, teamwork, and school spirit. One school focussed on providing as many events as possible for the whole school, whilst another focussed on the excellence category because winning still does matter. It helps to build resilience but also highlight how good some of these future athlete’s and sports stars are at all ages from reception to the final weeks of Year 6.

Students from across the primary years came together to participate in a wide variety of events, showcasing not only their athletic abilities but also their enthusiasm, determination, and mutual encouragement. At this year’s Sports Days, schools worked together in houses and the events were designed to ensure maximum participation and enjoyment for all, with competition throughout.

From traditional races like the 100m sprint, relay races and creative team games to some soft tip archery and fast paced handball games facilitated by the KRS team. Over the course of the two days every child had the opportunity to shine. It was heart-warming to see children cheering each other on, working together, and celebrating both effort and achievement donning their house colours.
