Cross Curricular Learning

During Term 5 here at KRS, our students thoroughly enjoyed interlinking Maths, Science, Art and PSHE together.

Challenge question – What job does GRAVITY play in the human body?

Our learners were grouped into pairs and were given the task to use their own questioning skills to solve the challenge. (the picture above shows one group creating their own experiment to see if gravity alters body weight when laid down).

Cross Curricular Learning

It was an incredible week, and we were very proud of how our learners discovered the following: – Gravity is an inescapable reality. Sports trainers use gravity to enhance speed. Mathematical formulars use speed against time. Gravity impacts bone growth and sense of balance, and finally a weight of 150lb on Earth is the equivalent to 354lb on Jupiter!! Did you know that Jupiter has the largest gravitational force in the universe?
