Next Gen Training

Unlock Your Athletic Potential with NextGen Training for Kids Aged 5-12

Next Gen Training is designed to improve motor skills and enhance sports performance through a variety of fitness principles such as reactions, strength, and balance. Our programme is tailored to provide children with a strong foundation in fitness, setting them up for success in any sport they choose to pursue.

Benefits of Next Gen Training:

  • Improved Motor Skills: Develop basic motor skills crucial for all physical activities.
  • Enhanced Sports Performance: Learn techniques that enhance overall athletic performance.
  • Core Strength Development: Build a strong core, essential for balance and stability.
  • Increased Flexibility and Mobility: Gain flexibility and mobility that can be maintained into adulthood.
  • Reaction Time: Improve reaction times, an important skill in many sports.
  • Balance Training: Enhance balance, which is vital for all physical activities.
  • Enjoyable Environment: Train in a fun and engaging setting that keeps kids motivated.
  • Holistic Fitness Approach: Focus on a variety of fitness areas to support overall athletic ability.
  • Long-term Health Benefits: Establish healthy fitness habits that can lead to long-term health benefits.

Many children today miss out on developing their basic motor skills, running strides, balance, reaction work, mobility, and flexibility. Neglecting these areas can hinder muscle development. By training these skills from a young age, children can reap benefits that will serve them well into adulthood.

Take swimming or karate, for example. These sports involve significant core and stretching exercises, which can help maintain mobility and make training easier later in life. This holistic approach is what we aim to emulate with Next Gen Training.

Unfortunately, many children today mistakenly associate strength and conditioning (S&C) with weightlifting and prepping to become athletes, which can have adverse effects on their developing bodies. Instead, they need to train in an enjoyable environment that focuses on different fitness areas, providing them with a solid foundation that could unlock any athletic ability they possess.

Next Gen Training offers a comprehensive programme that complements all sports, not just one. This foundation will prepare children for success in any athletic endeavour they choose to pursue.

Join Next Gen Training today and give your child the foundation for a healthy, active future!

Empower Your Child with Next Gen Training: Building Future Athletes, One Functional Movement at a Time

At Next Gen Training, we believe in shaping the future of fitness by starting with the youngest members of our society. Our program is specially designed for children aged 5-12, focusing on combating the growing epidemic of childhood obesity by fostering healthy movement habits and enhancing overall physical fitness through functional training. According to the NHS, nearly one-third of children between the ages of 2-15 are overweight or obese. We aim to make a positive impact by ingraining essential movement skills early on.

Why Functional Training for Kids?

Functional training isn’t just about exercise; it’s about preparing the body for real-life activities and sports. Our training incorporates multi-planar movements – sagittal, frontal, and transversal – which engage core muscles and improve balance, stability, and coordination. This type of training is not only crucial for developing athletic skills but also for preventing injuries and enhancing daily life activities.

SMARTER TARGETS for Functional Movement

We use SMARTER TARGETS (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Time-Bound, Exciting, Recorded) to retrain both the body and mind, ensuring that each child sees measurable improvements and stays motivated. Our program includes exercises such as push-ups, walking lunges, jump squats, lateral bounds, and balancing movements, all tailored to be fun and engaging for kids.

Benefits of Our Program:

  • Increased Mobility and Flexibility: Develop natural movement patterns and improved range of motion.
  • Calorie Burning and Cardio Boost: Shred fat and enhance cardiovascular fitness.
  • Strength and Tone: Build muscle strength efficiently with compound exercises.
  • Injury Prevention: Strengthen the body to prevent injuries.
  • Improved Stability and Balance: Enhance unilateral work to identify and correct imbalances.
  • Observable Progress: Weekly functional testing provides real-time insights into development.

Structured Progression

Our workouts are designed to be 20-30 minutes long, ensuring they are suitable for young children. We start with foundational workouts focusing on bodyweight exercises, progressing to more advanced sessions as the child’s strength and coordination improve. Each session offers three variations – base, progression, and regression – to cater to all fitness levels.

By integrating fun with fitness, Next Gen Training sets the foundation for a healthy, active lifestyle. Our approach not only prepares children for sports and physical activities but also promotes lifelong fitness and well-being.

Join us at Next Gen Training and watch your child grow stronger, more agile, and confident in their abilities. Together, we can build a healthier future!
