Level 1 Health and Safety in a Construction Environment (Leading to CSCS Green Card)

The Online Level 1 Health and Safety in a Construction Environment course (RQF) is designed for those working on construction sites and is a requirement for those wishing to apply for a CSCS Green Card. In accordance with CITB anyone who is a labourer on a construction site must be a CSCS Green Card Holder.

The online Invigilated Exam will provide you access to our online invigilated examination which can be taken anywhere.
 
Our market-leading examination system delivers the final assessment direct to you via the internet, invigilated using screen sharing and webcam, allowing you to receive your accreditation quicker and easier without the stress and hassle of visiting a training and exam centre.

As a UK Registered Learning Provider, our online exam is fully accredited by ETA Awards

First you will need to complete the Online Level 1 Health and Safety in a Construction Environment course, once a pass is achieved the candidate must then pass the fully accredited exam to obtain the certificate.

The course can be taken on any device using a modern web browser and takes approximately 3-5 hours to complete.
 
Once you have completed this you will be able to sit the online exam.
 
(please be aware the course does not provide a certificate only the exam)

Next, you will need to sit the online invigilated exam which can be completed at any time chosen by yourself using your computer, webcam and microphone.

The Exam

The Minimum Specifications of the exam
 
  • An in date photo ID which must also show the candidates date of birth.
  • A windows or mac computer (it will not work on mobiles, tablets or Chrome Books)
  • A modern web browser such as Google Chrome or Firefox. It will not work with Internet Explorer, the old version of Microsoft Edge or Safari.
  • Video: Up to date video drivers
  • Memory: 1Gb+ RAM
  • Download Speed: Broadband (3Mb+)
  • A steady internet connection (Wi-Fi or hard wired connection will be required for streaming) with a recommended upload speed of 5mb/sec and a minimum speed of 1.5mb/sec.
  • A working web camera.
  • A working microphone. (if they have a microphone built into a headset or earphones they must take them off and leave them on the table)
  • When web cam and screen share access is requested and they must accept it. (this may also need to be enabled within their operating systems settings or browser settings first)
  • All other software and browser tabs must also be closed.


Preparation for the CITB Health, Safety and Environment Test

This course is for candidates who have completed their Level 1 Health and Safety in a Construction Environment course and want to prepare for the touch screen test. The course reviews the key learning objectives of the Level 1 course and concludes with a 50 question test that has been produced in the style of the touch screen test.

  1.   2. Complete the Relevant Training and Qualifications
    • Ensure you have the necessary construction-related qualifications for your role. If you lack a recognised qualification, consider enrolling in a relevant course through an accredited training provider.- This is giving you access to the preparation needed, followed by the test.
      This bundle gives you access to the preparation for the final CSCS interactive test. (next step is done with the CSCS)
  3. Pass the CITB Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) Test
    • Book and pass the appropriate level of the CITB HS&E test within the last two years. The test assesses your understanding of health and safety practices on construction sites.
  4. Prepare Necessary Documentation

  5. Create a CSCS Online Account
