Young Leader Awardk
10 Hours delivered over 6 weeks to 20 Students
The Young Leader award is recommended for learners aged 11 and over, takes approximately 10 hours to deliver. Learners will look at ‘FAST (Fun, Activity, Safety,
Teamwork) PACE (Participants, Area, Communication, Equipment)’ and how these areas are represented through leadership.
Each tutor is given access to a number of games and activities that they can use with their learners within their sessions. There is also a sheet that they can complete to assess when they think each learner has completed the aspects of ‘FAST PACE’. There is also a journal that each learner can complete.
The Young Leader Leadership Journal is for each learner undertaking the Award. It has been designed to support the learner through the course and give space to record thoughts and ideas along the way.
There is a tutor presentation that can be followed and a range of certificates to award the learners depending on their leadership hours.
